When an emergency arises, one of our four ambulance stations located in Floyd County is ready to respond 24 hours a day, seven days a week. With an average response time of less than eight minutes, our team of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and paramedics provide care to the 23rd largest county in Georgia, spanning 518.5 square miles.
Floyd's staff of Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics maintain certifications in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support and basic trauma life support to ensure superior care. In addition, our staff is trained in defensive driving and emergency vehicle operation to ensure our ambulances reach our patients quickly and safely.
For nearly 40 years, Floyd Emergency Medical Services has provided emergency and non-emergency transportation for its community, making Floyd Emergency Medical Services one of the oldest emergency medical services in the state.
